Italy-Ghana midfielder Justin Kumi has joined Juve Stabia from Sassuolo on loan, giving the Serie B club a new central midfield option for the 2026-27 season.

The 22-year-old completed the move on 11 August 2026 and will remain with Juve Stabia until 30 June 2027. Kumi moves from Sassuolo, a Serie A club, after spending the previous campaign on loan at Avellino.

Kumi returned to Sassuolo at the end of June following his spell with Avellino, where he played during the 2025-26 season. He had joined Avellino from Sassuolo in July 2025 in another loan move, before returning to his parent club and switching to Juve Stabia.

The central midfielder has been with Sassuolo since joining their youth setup from Giorgione Juniors in 2018. He progressed through Sassuolo’s academy, moving from the youth side to the under-17 team and then Sassuolo Under-20 before stepping into the senior squad in 2024.

Kumi spent part of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Reggiana, returning to Sassuolo at the end of that season. His move to Juve Stabia is his third senior loan away from the club and keeps him in Italy’s professional game as he begins a new campaign in Serie B.

Born in Castelfranco Veneto, Kumi holds Italian and Ghanaian nationality. He is right-footed and operates primarily in central midfield, where his arrival adds depth to Juve Stabia’s squad.

His honours include an Italian second-tier championship with Sassuolo in the 2024-25 season. He also won the Italian youth championship with Sassuolo Primavera in 2023-24 and the Viareggio tournament with Sassuolo Under-18 in 2021-22.

Kumi’s market value is listed at €1.2m, his highest recorded figure. He now joins Juve Stabia for the 2026-27 campaign, with the loan scheduled to conclude on 30 June 2027.
