Kwabena Agyepong has the qualities to lead Ghana– Campaign Spokesperson
Mr. Ofosu Asamoah, spokesperson for New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has expressed strong confidence in Agyepong’s leadership credentials, citing his integrity, loyalty, and extensive experience in governance as key attributes that make him well-suited to serve as President of Ghana.
Speaking on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News on Tuesday, August 26, Mr. Asamoah described Agyepong as a principled and dependable figure whose dedication to the party has never wavered.
“I believe in him. Kwabena is a man of integrity. I mean, he is a man you can trust; he is a man who delivers on his word and delivers on his mission. Anything that is given to him, he does well; he sacrifices,” he said.
Mr. Asamoah also emphasised Mr. Agyepong’s unwavering support for the NPP over the years, noting that he has remained loyal to the party even during challenging times.
“He’s never deserted the party. He always follows what he believes in and makes sure he delivers on it,” he said.
“If given the opportunity to become the flagbearer and the president of the republic, I think he is going to deliver to Ghanaians one of the best presidents Ghana can ever have. And having worked in the presidency with former President Kufuor for well over six years, I think he’s gathered very good experience,” he said.
Kwabena Agyepong, a former General Secretary of the NPP, officially filed his nomination to contest in the party’s presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026, becoming one of the first to formally enter the race to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
