NADMO staff found dead in stream at Kwabre East

The body of a staff member of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly has been found in a stream between Abira and Krobo.

The deceased, 60-year-old Thomas Obeng, was reportedly recovering from a recent illness. On Thursday, September 11, his lifeless body was discovered after he went missing on a trip to visit his wife in Krobo.

According to reports, Mr. Obeng had travelled from Abira to see his wife in the nearby community but never returned. Though he informed her he was heading back to Abira, his whereabouts remained unknown until his body was found in the stream under unclear circumstances.

Police have since retrieved the body and deposited it at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for further examination.

The Assembly Member for the Abira Electoral Area, Isaac Owusu Bempah, confirmed the incident and said
