Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy have announced Spaniard Guillermo Hamdan Zaragoza as their new head coach.

He replaces Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum who after just a season vacated his role at the Academy club for the Kotoko hot seat at the end of the season.

The Spanish trainer has been in the country the last few weeks as he has been training with his side as he gears up for the new season.

Guillermo Hamdan Zaragoza who holds a UEFA License will be with the Sogakope side until the end of the 2021/2022 season.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Guillermo Hamdan Zaragoza as head coach of the first team.

“Guille will be with us for the entirety of the 2021/22 season. We wish you every success.”

Zaragoza will be assisted by the experience Ibrahim Saddick who was also the assistant during Prosper Narteh’s time.

The Sogakope based side will face King Faisal in the first game of the campaign on October 31.

He was the head football coach for Real Madrid Foundation International Clinics between 2015-2019 in Ciudad Real Madrid and in countries including: Kazakhstan, Australia, Colombia, Malaysia, United States, Pakistan, Morocco, Iceland, Saudi Arabia.

Aside that the Sports Science and fitness specialist has also worked as the head Coach for Vicente Del Bosque Football Academy international clinics in: Spain, United States, Russia and China.

Guillermo Hamdan Zaragoza was also the fitness and conditioning coach for C;ub Deportivo Toledo between 2018- January 2021.
