Sam George grabs Master’s in Law at University of Law, Barbican Centre

Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Law in the United Kingdom.
The graduation ceremony was held earlier on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Barbican Centre, where the legislator joined other graduates who completed various professional and postgraduate law programmes.
Taking to his social media handles, Sam George, who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, disclosed that he enrolled in the programme in 2023 and completed it in 2025, taking a break in 2024 due to his involvement in Ghana’s election campaigns. He described the journey as challenging, noting that it required balancing academic demands with professional and political responsibilities.
According to him, the Master of Laws (LLM) in Professional Legal Practice represents a significant personal milestone and reflects his commitment to lifelong learning, despite the pressures of public office.
Mr George also used the occasion to encourage others who may have postponed their ambitions to take bold steps towards achieving their goals, stressing that progress often begins with the decision to start.
“The Master’s of Law in Professional Legal Practice qualifies me as a Solicitor of England and Wales. I hope this inspires someone out there to pursue any dream that they have deferred. You never know what you can achieve until you start.”
