Three Chinese nationals arrested for illegal mining in Kwaebibirem

Two excavators used by illegal miners have been impounded by an anti-galamsey task force led by the Kwaebibirem Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Emmanuel Kofi Nti, and the Municipal Police Commander, ASP Barlekor Bernard.
Speaking to the media following the operation, Mr. Nti said the team is actively pursuing several suspects who fled the scene during the raid.
He also issued a stern warning to illegal miners operating in forest reserves and on water bodies within the municipality, urging them to cease operations immediately. He emphasized that the task force will not relent in its efforts to arrest and prosecute all offenders.
