Fast rising Ghanaian Hip Hop artiste, Kwesi Arthur, has opened up on his challenging past about how he struggled to complete Senior High School due to his parent's financial difficulty.

In a rather revealing interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso, also known as Delay, on her Delay Show, Kwesi Arthur said he was unable to access his WASSCE result after completing Tema Senior High School (Temasco).

He recalled; "I wanted to go to the University of Ghana to study Psychology and after that I'll go and do law. But it didn't go as planned. Because I had arrears at Temasco so I wasn't able see my result.

"As a matter of fact, I still owe the school as I speak. So I need to go and settle that soon. That was the reason they blocked my results". He continued

The 2018 BET New International Act Viewers Choice nominee further spoke about how there were days when he had to wait for his mother to close business for the day before he and his siblings including his father could lay their beds.

“We were sleeping in my mom’s shop in Tema Community 5. We waited till she closed the shop at night so we sleep, together with my dad. We later moved to Ashaiman, then to Sakumono before moving in with my Grandma at community 9,” he told Deloris Frimpong Manso.

Kwesi Arthur has attributed his success in music to the works of God.

According to him, he would never have been nominated for the 2018 BET Awards if God hadn’t ordained it.
