Medeama SC defender Paul Aidoo has sent a shot into the air in Kumasi ahead of match day 21 Ghana premier league clash away at Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

Speaking to Kumasi based Ashh FM, the tidy defender assured football fans of a dealing the Porcupine Warriors a blow at their backyard labelling his Medeama side “fire service officers”

Referring to Kotoko, he said ” there is no fire we (Medeama SC) cannot quench but God’s fire”

“If there is any fire in Kumasi, we the fire service personnel are going to do whatever it take s to quench it for them” he boasted

“Hopefully on Sunday if we are still alive by God’s grace we will quench their fire” he continued

Referee Issaka Afful awarded Medeama two penalty decisions in the first leg of this encounter at Tarkwa. A match that saw the home side win 2:1

The defeat would become Kotoko’s first defeat in 27 years in the Western region.

However Paul Aidoo who converted both penalties for the Mauves and Yellow insists both set pieces were deserved even though the center referee was sanctioned after the game.

“I have not attended any refereeing. I am a footballer and so I will continue to play no matter the decisions made by the referee. But I don’t think Kotoko can say they were robbed because the videos were very clear” he insisted

Medeama SC play Kotoko away at the Kumasi Sports stadium on Sunday in a GHPL match day 21 encounter.

Kotoko are currently in 4th place with 32 points while Medeama occupy the 5th position with 28 points.
