5 Ways Ghanaians Easily Destroy Their Electrical Gadgets
Usually, Ghanaians are quick to question the durability of an electric appliance but nobody really takes note of how these appliances are used.
Here are reasons why your electrical gadgets get damaged all the time..
1. Turning On Your Fan Anticlockwise
This might be a normal practice in the country and this is because whether you turn it clockwise or anticlockwise it will still function and so nobody sees the problem with such practice. However, remember, there are coils in the regulator that could end up damaged when you do that. Just follow the proper procedure in getting to the highest speed.

2. Switching The Iron On When It’s At The Highest Temperature
There is usually a little knob on your pressing iron used in regulating the heat. Many people leave their irons at the highest temperature when they are done ironing and just plug it into the mains at their next ironing session without setting the regulator to the lowest temperature. This can damage your iron since it’ll be forced to get hot quickly even though the heating process is supposed to be a gradual.

3. Leaving Gadgets Plugged In Whiles They Are Turned Off
Beside this habit consuming electricity, it also ruins your gadgets. Once you’re not using a gadget, just turn off your mains. Even though you may have turned the gadget off, once the mains is on, it still consumes electricity and this can shorten the life span of your appliance. It can also get damaged when there’s power fluctuation.

4. Keeping Electrical Gadgets Close To Water Source
We need not tell you much about this because by now you should know that electricity and water do not mix. This practice can damage your appliance if there’s a little water leakage or spill and it gets in contact with your appliance.

5. Lack Of Maintenance
Now this is one of the major problems with Ghanaians. We only send our gadgets to the repairer when it’s completely damaged. So far as it is functioning, it is okay. We don’t even follow maintenance schedules outlined in the manual of our products.
