Coach Ibrahim Tanko may have a hard time assembling his team for the Under 23 nations cup set to take place in Egypt If happenings in South Africa is anything to go by.

SuperSport United won’t release South Africa youth internationals Sipho Mbule, Teboho Mokoena and Jamie Webber for national duty.

The talented midfielders are expected to be included in South Africa’s final squad which will participate in the 2019 Caf U23 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals which will be hosted by Egypt between 8 and 22 November.

SuperSport’s chief executive officer Stan Matthews says they can only release the players if the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and the South African Football Association reach an agreement to postpone league matches during the competition.

Ghana have been handed a tough group alongside host nation Egpyt, Mali  and Cameroon with about ten of our players been foreign based.

Kingsly Fobi, Gideon mensah, Zakaria Fusieni ,Nicholas Opoku Majeed Ashemeru Osman Bukari Bernard Tekpatey Dauda Mohammed Yaw Yeboah Joseph paintsil are all foreign players who made the trip to Algeria in Ghana’s last round of qualifier.

It is believed club’s may resist letting players leave as Supersports United have done since it is not stipulated on Fifa’s list of tournaments.

This year’s edition of the U23 Africa Nations Cup will be staged between 5-22 November 2019 in Egypt.

The tournament will determine which three African teams will compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics men’s football tournament in Tokyo.
