Antoine Semenyo has enjoyed a remarkable week that will be remembered by both Ghanaian football fans and supporters of Manchester City alike, as the forward reached major milestones in both domestic and cup competitions.

The 25-year-old Ghana international began the week in style on Wednesday when he scored his 16th Premier League goal of the season against Crystal Palace, taking his tally to 20 direct goal involvements for the campaign.

The achievement saw Semenyo become the first Ghanaian player to record 20 direct goal involvements in a single English top-flight football calendar, surpassing the long-standing record of 19 set by legendary striker Anthony Yeboah during the 1995/96 season.

His impressive performances were further recognised on Thursday when he earned a nomination for Player of the Season, underlining his growing influence in English football and his outstanding consistency throughout the campaign.

But the highlight of an unforgettable week arrived on Saturday, when Semenyo etched his name into Ghanaian football history once again by becoming the first Ghanaian player to score in an FA Cup final.

His decisive strike proved crucial as Manchester City lifted the trophy, crowning a historic moment for both the club and the Black Stars forward.

Semenyo’s extraordinary rise continues to inspire football fans across Ghana, with many now viewing him as one of the country’s brightest stars ahead of future international competitions.
