Ghana Football Association Vice President Mark Addo says the Black Stars camp in Wales is buzzing with energy as preparations intensify ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Speaking to Citi Sports, Addo revealed that the GFA is considering arranging an additional friendly match for head coach Carlos Queiroz and his squad after the Wales friendly before the World Cup begins.

“There are plans to give Carlos Queiroz another opportunity to play a second friendly before the World Cup, but nothing has been finalised,” Addo said.

He added that early reports from camp have been overwhelmingly positive, with players showing strong determination as competition for places in the squad heats up.

“The feedback we are receiving is that camp is exciting, competition is intense, and morale is very high. Carlos Queiroz is quite an experienced coach,” he stated.

The Black Stars are currently based in Wales as they prepare for an international friendly against Wales on 2 June. The match is expected to provide Queiroz with a crucial opportunity to assess his squad before Ghana departs for the World Cup.

Ghana has been drawn in a challenging group alongside England, Croatia and Panama, with expectations high as the four-time African champions seek to make a strong impact on the world stage.
