AGI opens nominations for 15th Ghana Industry and Quality Awards

The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), working with the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, has opened nominations for the 15th AGI Ghana Industry and Quality Awards.

Companies from across Ghana are being invited to enter the country’s leading awards programme for industrial achievement and quality excellence. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in November 2026.

The awards will recognise organisations that have delivered strong results during the year under review in areas including manufacturing, service delivery, innovation, quality standards, sustainability and corporate performance.

Organisers said the programme was created to honour companies that have achieved exceptional success in different parts of industry while maintaining high standards in production and the delivery of services.

“It is also to motivate and show that their performance is valued and achievement recognized,” the organisers stated in the call for nominations.

Businesses must submit their nominations by 10 September 2026.

Eight major award categories

The 2026 edition will feature eight principal award categories. They are:

– Overall Best Industrial Company of the Year
– Best Corporate Social Responsibility Company of the Year
– Best Company Employer of the Year
– Young Enterprise Company (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award)
– Fastest Growing Company of the Year
– Best Practices in Sustainable Manufacturing
– National Quality Awards
– Esther Ocloo Award

In addition to the main prizes, companies will be considered for recognition across 22 industry sectors.

Those sectors include agribusiness; automotive and transport; chemicals; electrical and electronics; energy; food; beverages; financial services; garments and textiles; hospitality and tourism; advertising; metals; construction; rubber and plastics; oil and gas; toiletries and cosmetics; wood processing; pharmaceuticals; printing and packaging; business promotion and consultancy; ICT; and sanitation and environmental services.

The organisers said the wide range of sectors was designed to give businesses of different sizes and from different industries an opportunity to demonstrate their achievements.

It will also allow participating companies to measure their performance against national standards, according to the organisers.

The AGI Ghana Industry and Quality Awards have established themselves as one of Ghana’s most respected platforms for recognising industrial achievement. The programme celebrates businesses contributing to industrial growth, innovation and competitiveness, as well as those demonstrating a commitment to quality standards within the Ghanaian economy.

The 15th edition will therefore bring together the awards’ focus on business performance, quality and wider corporate excellence, with companies competing for recognition at both national and sector level.
