Ghana Premier League side Aduana FC have completed the signing of midfielder Shawkan Mohammed on a long-term contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The 23-year-old joins the two-time Ghana Premier League champions as a free agent after ending his spell with Tunisian giants Club Africain earlier this year.

In a statement announcing the move, Aduana FC said: “Aduana Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Shawkan Mohammed on a long-term contract. The talented midfielder joins the Ogya Boys as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.”

Mohammed returns to the Ghanaian top flight after a brief stint in Tunisia, where he joined Club Africain in 2024 on a three-year contract. However, limited playing opportunities saw both parties mutually agree to terminate the deal in January, making him available on a free transfer.

The midfielder previously established himself as one of the promising talents in the Ghana Premier League during his time with Accra Lions. After joining the club from lower-tier side Koowa Naso FC in September 2021, he made 68 league appearances over three seasons and scored once.

His performances earned him a move abroad, but his return to Ghana offers an opportunity to revive his career with one of the league’s most ambitious clubs.

Mohammed is expected to play a key role as Aduana FC strengthen their squad in a bid to challenge for domestic honours in the upcoming campaign.
