AFCON 2017: Black Stars to start non-residential camping on December 28

The Black Stars will start non-residential camping on 28 December in Accra to kick-start preparations for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.

This is expected to be the first phase of their schedule to get in shape for the tournament which will start on 15 January in Gabon.

It preceeds the team’s pre-camping training tour in Dubai after New Year’s Day.

Ghana coach Avram Grant is yet to drop hint on whether a provisional squad or a final list of 23 players will be named.

Unlike their Group opponents, the Ghana FA is yet to announce pre-tournament friendlies.

Ghana’s camping begin on 17 January against familiar foes Uganda in Port Gentil.
