Allow Mariano Barreto to work peacefully – Malik Jabir
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player and coach, Malik Jabir says new Kotoko coach Mariano Barreto must be given the free hand to work at the club.
He says the team have began the second round on a good note and that momentum should be sustained.
According to Malik Jabir, no one either from management nor the board should interfere in the affairs of the technical team and allow the coach to operate.
“The second round has just begun and the performance of the Asante Kotoko players so far is very encouraging.” he told Gye Nyame FM.
“I am pleading to all and sundry to allow the coach work peacefully. He was brought in to be the head coach so just allow him and give the team to him.”
“No one should interfere with his work when it comes to coaching issues. Commentaries and suggestions as to what he should do and not must seize. Whoever thinks he can do the job must go for it than throwing jabs from the outside.”
Mariano Barreto officially began his reign at the club in their 4-0 win over Bechem United in midweek.
