Obuasi Ashantigold have been dealt a huge blow as two of their key players have suffered various degrees of injuries and will be out for the next fortnight.

The miners are counting their losses after their season opener at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium last Sunday.

Ashgold will be without key players Samed Ibrahim and Mark Agyekum who sustained injuries during their 2-2 drawn game against Karela United on Sunday.

The two players started the game but had to be replaced after picking the injuries and will not play a part in their coming games.

Karela United picked up a point in the game after Diawise Taylor opened the scores for them Appiah MacCarthy equalized from a free kick.

On the stroke of half time Hans Kwofie headed the miners in front before Karela United substitute Samuel Ofori equalized in the second half of the game.

Ashgold's match day two game against Hearts of Oak has been rescheduled to 24th November 2020.
