Jude Bellingham will have to outshine his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr. and Manchester City’s Rodri to secure the Ballon d’Or for 2024.

Bellingham, who won the Kopa Trophy for the best player under 21 last year, is hoping his impressive debut season at Real Madrid will bolster his chances.

Bellingham’s season has been marked by crucial goals, including stoppage-time winners in El Clasico and his standout performance in the UEFA Champions League.

His pivotal role in England’s Euro 2024 campaign, where he scored a stunning overhead kick against Slovakia, highlighted his potential. Despite reaching the final, England’s loss to Spain may affect his chances.

Vinicius Jr., who scored a hat-trick in the Spanish Super Cup final and played a key role in Real Madrid’s Champions League victory, is a strong contender.

Similarly, Rodri is a favorite after contributing significantly to Spain’s Euro 2024 win and Manchester City’s Premier League title defense.

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, with 38 goals last season, and teammates Phil Foden and Ruben Dias, have also been nominated.

England’s Euro 2024 runners-up, including Harry Kane, Declan Rice, and Cole Palmer, are well-represented.

Notably, this year marks the first time since 2003 that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have not been nominated for the Ballon d’Or.
