The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed experienced Burundian referee Georges Gatogato to officiate the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Angola and Ghana.
The match is set to be held at Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda on Friday, November 15, 2024, with a scheduled kickoff at 20:00 hours.
Gatogato, a 36-year-old urban engineer, has been a FIFA-listed referee since 2007.
Known for his extensive experience, he has officiated in multiple CAF tournaments, including AFCON qualifiers, the CAF Champions League, and the CAF Confederation Cup.
His distinguished career also includes officiating at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Assisting Gatogato will be a team of fellow Burundian officials: Rénovat Bizumuremyi as Assistant Referee I, Olivier Nibogora as Assistant Referee II, and Rodrigue Bigirimana as Fourth Official.
