Defender Maxwell Ansah excels on Liberty Professionals debut

Defender Maxwell Ansah made his long awaited debut for Liberty Professionals in their 1-0 defeat away to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Saturday.
The former Inter Allies and Vision FC centre back was handed a starting role by head coach David Ocloo in a game which was eventually lost by the Scientific Soccer Lads.
Despite the defeat, Ansah put up a stellar display showing glimpses of his versatility starting the game as a right back and eventually shifting to centre back in the second half of the encounter.
After the game, the defender expressed his disappointment in the result but was elated to have finally made his long awaited debut.
Maxwell Ansah joined Liberty Professionals on a free transfer in September after a stint with second tier side Vision FC.
However, a combination of illness and injury delayed his debut for the Dansoman based side.
