GFA confirms Tariqe Fosu was sent home for reporting late to Black Stars camp

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that Brentford winger Tariqe Fosu was sent home after reporting late to the Black Stars camp in Cape Coast.
Ghana will face Morocco on Tuesday in Rabat before playing against Ivory Coast in Cape Coast on Saturday.
The Ghana Football Association issued a statement and confirmed that the player reported late for camp and was sent home to return on Thursday for preparations for the Ivory Coast match on Saturday.
“Tariqe reported to camp Friday evening, after the sides training session in Cape Coast. Coach Akonnor engaged him briefly and told him that reporting late has scuppered his chances of travelling with the team to Morocco. The Brentford winger will also join the team on Thursday for the game against Ivory Coast.” a statement from the GFA read.
The Brentford winger was partying in Accra after returning from his base in London after helping his championship side Brentford City secure promotion to the English Premier League by beating Andre Ayew’s Swansea.
Instead of going to the Black Stars camp to prepare for the two friendlies he took matters into his own hands and was pictured partying in Accra.
He was left out of the 25 man squad that took off at dawn on Monday and have now arrived in Morocco for Tuesday’s friendly match.
