Ghana skipper Shafiu Mumuni confident of WAFU cup triumph

Skipper of Ghana’s Black Stars B, Shafiu Mumuni is confident of lifting the WAFU championship trophy when his side take on host nation Senegal in Sunday’s final.
Speaking to the media after the team’s training on Friday, the Ashgold goal machine expressed his side’s readiness to battle the lions of tarenga and to defend the title they won two years ago in home soil.
“I believe in myself and my colleagues and I assure Ghanaians that we will bring the trophy home on Sunday”, Mumuni stated unequivocally.
Shafiu Mumuni has had a terrific tournament with Ghana scoring 4 goals in three games including a hat trick against Ivory Coast in the semi final.
He is currently the tournament’s leading scorer and is is in line to win the Golden boot award that was won by compatriot Stephen Sarfo in the previous tournament.
