Ghanaian left-back Augustine Ameworlorna joins Al-Baqaa on free transfer

Ghanaian left-back Augustine Ameworlorna has joined Jordanian Pro League club Al-Baqaa from Mitrovica on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old completed the move on 4 August 2026, bringing an end to his time with the Kosovo club. Ameworlorna now becomes part of Al-Baqaa’s squad as the Jordanian side strengthens its defensive options with a naturally left-footed player.

Ameworlorna spent two seasons at Mitrovica after joining the club from fellow Kosovo side KF Trepca 89 in July 2024. His move to Mitrovica was also completed as a free transfer, while he had previously joined Trepca 89 in 2021.

The defender has featured prominently in Kosovo competition during his recent career. He made 33 appearances in the Superliga e Kosoves, playing 2,800 minutes, and added one goal in four Kupa e Kosoves appearances.

Ameworlorna stands 1.83m tall and has left-foot preference, qualities that suit his established role on the left side of defence. His move to Al-Baqaa also represents a change of league and country after his time in Kosovo.

The transfer gives Ameworlorna a new setting in which to continue his career, with Al-Baqaa competing in Jordan’s top division. He joins the club without a transfer fee after leaving Mitrovica.

Ameworlorna’s career has so far included spells with Mitrovica and KF Trepca 89, with both of his most recent moves completed without a fee. The Ghanaian defender is now an Al-Baqaa player.
