GHS confirms 18 new mpox cases, total infections rise to 346

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported 18 new confirmed cases of Mpox, raising the cumulative national case count to 346.

According to the latest update released on August 7, 2025, the death toll remains at one, with no new fatalities recorded and no patients currently admitted for treatment.

The GHS is urging the public to stay alert and avoid close contact with individuals showing symptoms consistent with Mpox. Suspected cases should be reported immediately to the nearest health facility.

Health officials say they are actively working with regional directorates to trace contacts and strengthen the national response to the outbreak.
