He beat off stiff competition from Great Olympics’ coach Annor Walker, Kotoko’s Mariano Baretto,  Dreams FC Vladislav Viric, and WAFA’s Prosper Narteh Ogum.

He received  a shopping voucher worth GHc8,000 and a personalized trophy  was presented to the Hearts gaffer at a brief presentation ceremony at the head office of Electroland Ghana Limited (NASCO) on Monday August 30.

Samuel Boadu joined the Rainbow club at the start of the second round of the Ghana Premier League and overnight turned the club into league champions.

As if that was not enough for ending the club’s near 12 year wait for a league title he also beat Obuasi AshantiGold to win the MTN FA Cup in a historic double.

He will lead the club into Africa where they will start the preliminary campaign against Guinean side C.I Kamsar on 12 September.
