Hearts of Oak unveils 30-man squad for redemption season with no Gladson Awako

Hearts of Oak, with their sights set on a comeback from a disappointing 12th-place finish in the previous season, has unveiled its 30-man squad for the upcoming campaign.

This announcement comes in the wake of the recent closure of the Ghanaian transfer window, signaling the club’s commitment to a fresh start.

The squad boasts a diverse lineup, including eight forwards, with one standout addition – Cameroonian forward Albert Eonde.

Eonde, who joined the club in August, has already made a significant impression during training sessions, offering hope for an improved offensive performance.

The goalkeeping department is well-represented by Richmond Ayi, Richard Attah, and Eric Ofori Antwi, providing depth and experience between the posts.

The full-back positions feature new signing Michael Ampadu, adding a fresh dimension to the team’s defense.

Hearts of Oak has undergone substantial changes in preparation for the new season.

The club has appointed Dutchman Martin Koopman as the head coach and fellow Dutchman Rene Hiddink as the technical director. With this new coaching team in place, the club is optimistic about achieving a more successful campaign.

The Phobians are eager to kick off the season on a strong note as they face Real Tamale United in their first match scheduled for September 15.
