Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei says that we should disregard reports that he went to free some journalist in Ivory Coast.

Kotoko last Sunday played in the second leg of the Caf Confederations Cup game against Ivorian side San Pedro Fc where they were eliminated after been beaten by two goals to nil having won the first leg by a lone goal.

After the game reports emerged in the media that some journalist were arrested for smoking Indian hemp by police in Ivory Coast.

While others too were arrested for possessing other narcotic drugs by the police in Ivory Coast.

The reports claims that the Executive Chairman of Kotoko went to bail this said journalist after paying some amount of money.

This Dr. Kyei has strenuously denied ever happening in Ivory Coast and has charged the media to stop peddling fake news.

“Its never true any journalist was caught in Abidjan smoking wee where I went to bail him out of jail”

“These are false allegations and there is no truth in it” he stressed.
