Ghanaian forward Kelvin Yeboah continued his impressive scoring form in the MLS after finding the net for Minnesota United in their 2-1 defeat to the New England Revolution on Saturday night.

The 25-year-old converted from the penalty spot to restore parity for Minnesota United during a fiercely contested encounter, but the visitors were ultimately unable to avoid defeat as New England secured a late winner.

Yeboah’s latest strike takes his tally to eight goals in 14 Major League Soccer appearances this season, making him the club’s leading scorer so far in the campaign.

The forward, who is the nephew of Ghana football legend Tony Yeboah, has become one of Minnesota United’s most reliable attacking threats with his pace, movement and composure in front of goal.

His consistent performances are also expected to strengthen discussions around a potential future role with Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars, ahead of upcoming international competitions, including the FIFA World Cup.

Despite the defeat, Yeboah’s form remains a major positive for Minnesota United as they continue their push in the MLS season.
