Black Stars no 1 goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been linked with a move to South African giants Orlando Pirates but Chairman of Maritzburg United, Farook Kadodia says they are just rumours.

The Ghanaian shot stopper has been in impressive form for his side Maritzburg United and has been constantly linked with a move away from his side.

But multiple reports from South Afica indicates that the Ghanaian goalie is just days away from joining the Bucaneers.

Chairman of Maritzburg United, Farook Kadodia says they are just media speculations and should be disregarded.

“There’s no such, sir, it’s just speculation that you guys in the media like to create rumours every transfer,” Kadodia tells KickOff.com. “We haven’t received or accepted any offer as yet, there’s no such.”

The chairman also confirms that Tebogo Tlolane has returned to the club on another season-long loan deal from Pirates.

“Yeah, Tlolane is back, he is with us on a loan deal,” he confirms. “The club will make announcements, sir, wait for it.”

Ofori has been one of the best goalkeepers in the PSL since joining Maritzburg in July 2017 from Wa All Stars.

The 26-year-old was nominated for the best goalkeeper award in his debut South Africa Premiership season.

The former Wa All Stars keeper made 28 appearances for Maritzburg in the South African top-flight last term keeping 11 clean sheets.
