The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira East Constituency of the Central Region, Nana Amoakoh, has handed over a multi-purpose corn mill, flour mix machine, roller and a Lester machine to the Boa Amponsem Senior High School at Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central region.
The MP has also donated an oven with the capacity of kneading two bags of flour at a time.
Nana Amoakoh said during the handing over ceremony at the school premises last Friday that, it follows a request by the authorities of the school.
According to him, the request was very expedient, hence he mobilised funds to purchase them at the cost of GHc35, 000 to help ease some of the problems the school is facing.
The Headmaster of the school, Mr Alex Adusei, who received the machines, thanked Nana Amoakoh, who is an old student of the school, for fulfilling his promise to the school.
He also expressed appreciation on behalf of management committee of the school, parents and teachers association (PTA), board members, students and staff of the school for the wonderful gesture.
According to him, the machines have come at an opportune time because students studying Home Economics are going to benefit from the Gas Oven and promised to maintain the machines for the benefit of the students.
