NDC’s Fifi Kwetey confirms bid for re-election as General Secretary

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has announced his intention to seek re-election in the party’s upcoming internal elections.
He made the disclosure during an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Channel One TV’s Face to Face programme on Tuesday, December 16. “Definitely, I intend to run,” he stated when asked if he would contest the position again.
Mr. Kwetey said his decision is driven by the desire to sustain and advance President John Dramani Mahama’s reset agenda, which he described as vital for repositioning the country and strengthening governance.
He added that remaining in office would allow him to ensure the party stays focused on pursuing policies and actions that benefit Ghana as a whole, rather than serving narrow partisan interests.
