NPP Asante Mampong Parliamentary Aspirant Nana Yaa Reportedly Dies

New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for the Asante Mampong Constituency, Beatrice Owarewa Siaw, popularly known as Nana Yaa, has reportedly passed away.

According to a report by Asaase News, a source close to the politician said she died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. The circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been disclosed.

Nana Yaa was a prominent businesswoman, philanthropist and member of the NPP Council of Patrons. She had been actively campaigning to represent the party in the Asante Mampong Constituency.

As part of her campaign agenda, she highlighted industrialisation, job creation and youth empowerment as key priorities for the constituency.

She had also claimed to have invested more than GH¢40 billion in Asante Mampong, describing the investment as part of her efforts to contribute to the development of the constituency.

Despite reports of her death, neither the NPP nor members of her family have officially confirmed the news as of the time of publication.

Further details are expected as the family and the party respond to the reports.
