Police arrest suspected impostors in uniform near Awoshie DVLA polling station

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a group of individuals wearing brown uniforms and posing as security personnel near the Awoshie DVLA polling station in the Ablekuma North Constituency.

Citi News sources indicate that the suspects failed to properly identify themselves when questioned by officers on duty and were promptly taken to the Odorkor Police Station for further investigation.

The individuals were spotted near the entrance of the polling center during the parliamentary election rerun. Their presence and lack of valid identification raised suspicions among security officials deployed to maintain order.

Confirming the incident, John Desmond Nii Sowah Nai, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ga West and Dean of MMDCEs in the Greater Accra Region, said the individuals are believed not to be affiliated with any recognised state security institution.
