Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has expressed his belief that any club interested in signing Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus will have to pay a significant amount.

The 23-year-old has been in exceptional form since joining West Ham United from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer transfer window.

Kudus has scored ten goals in various competitions for West Ham and has garnered praise for his performances, earning a nomination for the December Player of the Month in the English Premier League.

Ferdinand, impressed by the attacking midfielder, stated that West Ham would demand nothing less than £75 million for his transfer.

“Not yet. It’ll take big money to take him out of there  £75m,” he said on his Vibe on Five Podcast.

Despite Kudus’ absence due to his commitment to the Africa Cup of Nations, where he will represent Ghana, his impact at West Ham has been evident, with the club facing challenges in recent games without him.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate is set to join his Black Stars teammates for the Nations Cup in Ivory Coast after being an influential figure for West Ham in the first half of the season.
