Business mogul and philanthropist Richard Nii Armah Quaye has unveiled ambitious plans to extend his recently launched food support project to the Ashanti Region in the coming weeks.

The initiative, under the banner of RNAQ Holdings, made its debut in Accra on Friday, August 1, with the mission to tackle hunger and food insecurity among Ghana’s most vulnerable, particularly the youth.

Currently operating in parts of the Greater Accra Region—including Korlegono, Kasoa, Ashaiman, Odorkor, and Madina—the RNAQ food banks offer free daily meals to individuals who present a valid Ghana Card.

The expansion to the Ashanti Region marks the beginning of what Mr. Quaye envisions as a countrywide rollout, bringing consistent access to hot meals to communities across all sixteen regions.

At the Accra launch event, Mr. Quaye expressed a passionate commitment to transforming lives through sustained, practical action.

He emphasized that the initiative is not a fleeting gesture of goodwill but a long-term strategy for national development.

He shared that each plate of food served carries a deeper message: that every individual matters, and no one should feel invisible in their own country.

He further revealed that a significant portion of his personal wealth would be dedicated to sustaining the project. According to him, 90% of earnings from his businesses will be channeled into the food bank program and other social interventions he plans to initiate in the future.

In his words, this is not simply about philanthropy—it is about building a stronger, more inclusive Ghana.

With thousands already benefiting from the food banks in Accra, anticipation is high for the Ashanti Region launch.

Mr. Quaye’s vision is clear: to ensure that no Ghanaian, regardless of background or location, is left behind in the fight against hunger.
