Six players battle for Medeama’s POTM award
Six players are fighting for Medeama SC’s player of the month December Award after their performance in the Ghana Premier League.
They are midfielder Kwasi Donsu, defender Vincent Atinga, striker Ahmed Toure, striker Ansu Kofi Patrick, defender Benjamin Abaidoo with goalkeeper Mandjui Boris Jnr. among the competitors.
Medeama posted the list of the six outstanding players for the month of December 2021 coupled with their outstanding performances.
Ahmed Toure has been among the goals this season for Medeama and scored an outstanding bicycle kick goal late in their GPL match against Aduana to hand his side all three points.
Former Hearts defender Vincent Atinga looks reborn after his commanding form at the back help the club concede a paltry seven goals in 13 goals with the club having the meanest defense in the Ghana Premier League(GPL).
Kwasi Donsu who started the season from the bench is now a main stay in the Medeama midfield and was instrumental for the team in the month of December.
Ansu Kofi Patrick who joined Medeama from Berekum Chelsea at the start of the season has been in good form scoring twice this season.
Benjamin Abaidoo has been an ever present in the Medeama defense as he has helped the club record the meanest defense with just seven goals conceded all season.
Goalkeeper Boris Mandjui Jnr has the record for consecutive clean sheets with five of them this season conceding just a goal in the month of December.
He has 9 clean sheets in 13 matches played so far this season.
