Ghanaian midfielder Issaka Seidu is attracting strong interest from several clubs in Sweden’s top division after an impressive run of performances for Ljungskile SK in the Superettan.

According to reports by Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, a number of unnamed top-flight clubs are monitoring the 19-year-old closely following his excellent start to life in Swedish football.

Seidu joined Ljungskile on loan from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland ahead of the current season and has quickly emerged as one of the league’s standout young talents.

The midfielder has earned praise for his calmness on the ball, physical presence and maturity in controlling games from the centre of the pitch. His performances have played a key role in Ljungskile’s strong campaign, with the club currently sitting second in the table as they push for promotion to Sweden’s top flight.

Seidu’s growing influence was further recognised in April when he was named the league’s Player of the Month, an award that has significantly boosted his reputation across Scandinavian football.

Reports also suggest that FC Nordsjaelland are closely following the teenager’s development during his loan spell and could consider bringing him back at the end of the season amid rising interest in his services.

The emergence of Seidu adds to the growing list of young Ghanaian players making their mark in Scandinavian football, a region that has increasingly become a pathway for African talent into Europe’s elite leagues.

At just 19, the future appears bright for the highly-rated midfielder, whose rapid rise is now attracting attention far beyond the Superettan.
