Alan Kyeremanten, a 2024 Presidential Aspirant, has urged Ghanaian football fans to be patient and maintain hope in the Black Stars following their upset in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Ghana suffered a 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde in their Group B opener at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday night.

Despite the disappointment, Kyeremanten, the founder of the Movement for Change, expressed optimism that the Black Stars would bounce back in their subsequent games.

He called for a sense of hope and expectation, emphasizing the historical good relationship with Egypt, their next opponent.

Kyeremanten said, “I want us to have a sense of great expectation and hope that whatever has occurred [against Cape Verde] will be reversed in our match with Egypt with an emphatic victory.”

Ghana, currently at the bottom of their group, faces Egypt on January 18, aiming to recover from the initial loss.
