Caretaker coach Johnson Smith began his reign with a two nil win over Ebusua Dwarfs in a series of friendly matches.

The twin friendly tour began in Cape Coast with a strong Kotoko starting eleven that included all the usual suspects except injured skipper Felix Annan.

Stand in captain Emmanuel Gyamfi opened the scoring for the porcupine warriors before striking sensation Sogne Yacouba added a second goal in the second half.

The Porcupine warriors will next play lower tier side Skyy Fc in a friendly game at Takoradi.

After that game Kotoko will play Accra Hearts of Oak in the replay of the President’s Cup.

The league is slated to start on the 28th December 2019 although fixtures are yet to be released.
