Struggling Ghana Premier League club Ashantigold are in talks with their former coach Hans Van der Pluijm to take over the club till at least the end of the season.
The Obuasi based club are in crisis as they do not have a substantive coach and results have plummeted since assistance coach turned interim coach Thomas Duah took charge.
Ashgold who are without a head coach since the departure of young Frenchman Romain Folz are in advance talks with the Dutchman to take over the club.
According to a report filed by Kumasi based Fox FM, the Dutch man is close to taking over the vacant Ashgold coaching job.
The miners are have won only once in their last six matches in the second round having lost four and drawing one prompting agitation from fans towards the management.
Ashgold are said to want former Hearts coach Frank Elliot Nuttal but he is currently working for Ethiopian side St Georges so will appoint the Dutchman in the interim as they wait for their first choice.
It will be the second time Van der Pluijm will be coaching Ashgold as he was in charge of the club between 1998-2001 before leaving for Hearts of Lions.
