Coach Bashir Hayford warns Hearts of Oak to ‘take care of their finishing’

Head coach of Legon Cities FC, Bashir Hayford has warned Accra Hearts of Oak to mindful of their finishing in games as they challenge for the league title.
The Phobians are facing arguably their biggest challenge in the title race against Kotoko on Sunday, but Bashir Hayford believes their game management should be properly streamlined.
The Phobians stunned the Royals 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium in match day 30 of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League on Thursday but on a nervy situation.
They were put on tenterhooks in the greater parts of the second half as Cities kept knocking for an equaliser.
“I will advise them to take care of their finishing, when they are ending the game, they should double up.
“The way we were giving it to them in the second half, if we had some few minutes in addition, they would have gotten a problem.
“The only advice I will give them, it’s a good team, they are doing very well but they should work on their finishing.” Bashir Hayford said
Kojo Obeng Junior tapped in Daniel Barnieh’s assist on the 27th minute before Frederick Ansah Botchway’s long drive made it 2-0 in the 38th minute.
Nigerien import, Victorien Adebayor pulled one back with four minutes to end the first half.
Bahsir Hayford has urged the 20-time Ghana champions to make use of their goal scoring chances or they could be in trouble.
The Phobians are level on 56 points as rivals, Asante Kotoko on top of the league log from 30 matches.
The two sides clash at the Accra Sports Stadium in match day 31 on Sunday, June 27.
The clash could be a determiner of the winner of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title. It will be Hearts of Oak’s first in 11 years if they win and Kotoko’s first in six years.
