Accra Sports Stadium to resume hosting Ghana Premier League matches in January
Rita Odei Asare, Head of the Public Relations Unit at the National Sports Authority (NSA), has officially confirmed the return of football matches at the Accra Sports Stadium in January.
“When we enter January, everything will be in place like it used to be,” she affirmed in an interview with Peace FM.
The stadium had been temporarily repurposed for Christmas-related activities, leading to uncertainty regarding the resumption of Ghana Premier League matches.
However, with the confirmation, Ghanaian football clubs can now anticipate returning to the Accra Sports Stadium for their home games.
During the festive season, Ghana Premier League clubs had to seek alternative venues for their matches.
The announcement by Rita Odei Asare brings clarity and assurance that the Accra Sports Stadium will once again host thrilling football encounters and provide a familiar setting for fans in the new year.
The return to regular football activities is eagerly awaited by football enthusiasts and supporters of Ghanaian clubs.
