GFA Prez. signs book of condolence of late Black Stars fitness trainer Ricky Roy Romeo

In a poignant gesture of solidarity and empathy, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), honored the memory of the late Black Stars fitness trainer, Ricky Roy Romeo, by adding his signature to a book of condolences on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Accompanied by members of the football community, President Okraku participated in the one-week commemoration of Ricky Roy Romeo’s passing, held in Accra on Saturday.
The delegation comprised esteemed football administrators, including Samuel Aboabire, a member of the GFA Executive Council, Jiji Mohammed Alifoe, President of Dreams FC, Henry Asante Twum, Director of Communications for the GFA, Samuel Kwame Ankomah, physiotherapist for the Black Stars, and Michael Osekre, President of Vision FC, where Ricky served as a valued club official.
Addressing the gathering on behalf of the delegation, the GFA’s Director of Communications conveyed heartfelt condolences from the GFA to the bereaved family, underscoring the association’s unwavering commitment to collaborating closely with them to ensure Ricky receives a dignified funeral.
The Book of Condolences, enriched with poignant messages from friends and members of the football fraternity, stands as a testament to the profound impact Ricky Roy Romeo made on all whose lives he touched.
The final funeral rites are scheduled to take place at Burma Camp during the weekend of June 14-16, 2024, providing an opportunity for further tributes and farewells to the late fitness trainer.
