26-year-old woman stabbed to death by boyfriend
A 26-year-old fashion designer, Mabel Asantewaa, has been killed after allegedly being stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend during a visit to her home.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old carpenter Bra Sammy, reportedly spent the night with the victim before attacking her in her room. He was later arrested by the Weija Divisional Police Command.
The incident occurred at Kalabule Chinese, near the Kasoa Tollbooth in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
Preliminary police investigations suggest that the suspect became violent following an argument after he allegedly demanded sex, which the victim declined, explaining that she was menstruating. He then allegedly stabbed her several times, resulting in her death.
The suspect is currently in police custody while investigations continue.
