Black Stars new boy Prince Owusu wins Medeama SC Player of the Month for September

Prince Owusu, the dynamic 21-year-old midfielder, has been crowned Player of the Month for September at Medeama SC, capping off a breakthrough period that saw him earn his senior national team debut for Ghana.
Owusu edged out goalkeeper Felix Kyei and forward Kelvin Nkrumah to claim the award, following standout performances in Medeama’s victories over Young Apostle and Vision FC, which helped the club launch a brilliant start to the season.

His club form caught the eye of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, who handed Owusu his first senior call-up for October’s World Cup qualifiers.
Owusu made a cameo appearance for the Black Stars in the historic 5-0 hauling of Central Africa Republic at the Stade d’Honneur, Meknes in Morocco.
Owusu is expected to feature again as Ghana seeks to seal qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, needing just one point to confirm their place.
While Owusu continues his national team duties, Medeama SC will be without their midfield engine for Friday’s clash against Nations FC, a temporary absence that underscores his growing importance at both club and country levels.
