The legal troubles of Ghanaian businessman and internet personality Abutrica have taken another significant turn, with the Economic and Organised Crime Office confiscating his fleet of luxury vehicles as part of ongoing investigations into his case.

Frederick Kumi, widely known as Abutrica, has confirmed that all his high-end cars have been seized by EOCO, including a Lamborghini Urus, a Tesla Cybertruck and a BMW i8 — a collection that had become closely associated with his flashy public image and social media presence.

The seizure marks a fresh development in a case that has already seen Abutrica spend over a month in Narcotics Control custody, face charges under a wrong name, and endure a lengthy search of his apartment by a joint team of Narcotics officers, Cyber Security Agency personnel and police that lasted nearly twelve hours and reportedly yielded nothing incriminating.

Abutrica has been vocal in challenging the narrative surrounding his case, previously dismissing claims of an $8 million fraud allegation and maintaining that authorities themselves acknowledged giving him only $13,000.

He has also denied owning a TikTok account, which he says was the original basis upon which investigators approached him.

The confiscation of his vehicles suggests that despite his public denials, authorities are pressing ahead with their probe. Investigations into the matter are said to be ongoing.
