Ghana Premier League side, Hearts of Oak have re-assigned Ivorian trainer, Aboubakar Ouattara and have deployed him to a different role in the club following the appointment of Mas Ud Didi Dramani as new head coach.

The club announced in a statement that Ouattara will now serve as Special Advisor to the Board of Directors on “special assignments and duties.”

Ouattara was the figurehead of the Phobian team and guided them to the top four finish last season despite a challenging campaign that saw the record FA Cup holders struggle so hard to make it to the top four, clocking 58 points in the third spot.

His first season with the “Continental Club Masters” and 2000 CAF Champions League winners can be viewed as a “narrow escape” after a last day victory over 2023/2024 league champions, Sarmatex that capped the season for them and kept their dreams alive as they clinched a top four finish.

Hearts of Oak, who won the CAF Super Cup in 2001 and the Confederation Cup in 2004 have appointed experienced coach, Mas Ud Didi Dramani as head coach with Golden Kicks head coach, Fiifi Parker Hanson and former Holy Stars head trainer, Abdulai Gazale set to be confirmed as assistants.

Below is the communique released by the club on Aboubakar Ouattara’s reassignment.
