Veteran Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah has put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension with Walsall FC, committing to the League Two side for the 2025/26 season.

The 37-year-old, who joined the Saddlers before the 2023/24 campaign, was a vital cog in manager Mat Sadler’s squad, making 54 appearances, scoring five goals, and providing seven assists across all competitions.

His contribution extended beyond the pitch, offering invaluable leadership and mentoring in the dressing room.

“I’m really pleased to be staying with the Saddlers for another season,” Adomah said in a club interview. “Unfortunately, last season didn’t end the way we all hoped, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It was an easy decision to stay.”

Adomah also acknowledged the strong support from the club's fanbase and coaching staff, adding:
“I feel really loved by the supporters, and I want to keep playing and contributing to the team in any way I can.”

Last season also marked a personal milestone for the former Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers, and Bristol City winger, as he reached an impressive 700 career appearances — underlining his durability and consistency over nearly two decades of professional football.

With his vast experience, Adomah is expected to continue playing a key role as Walsall aim to mount another push for promotion in the upcoming campaign.
