Asante Kotoko announce the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year deal

Ghanaian football powerhouse Asante Kotoko have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Guinean international Morifing Donzo ahead of the 2025-2026 football season.
The 27-year-old joins the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal from Hafia FC, bringing with him valuable experience from continental competitions, including appearances in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
“Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical. The deal is subject to the approval of his work permit,” the club said in an official statement on Tuesday.
Donzo’s arrival forms part of the club’s strategic squad revamp as they aim to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title, having won the MTN FA Cup last season but narrowly missing out on the league title. They will be preparing for continental campaign as well, as they are set to be in the CAF Confederations Cup tournament following the MTN FA Cup triumph.
They won the second edition of the Toyota Cup in July 2025 in South Africa, edging past hosts, Kaizer Chiefs on penalties.
He is expected to form a formidable attacking partnership with Kwame Opoku and Albert Amoah as Kotoko mount a serious title challenge in the upcoming campaign.
