Former Ghana star Augustine Arhinful has urged the Ghana Football Association(GFA) to consider staging big Ghana Premier League matches in the evening.

There has been a lot of tasty matches in the Ghana Premier League with the two biggest clubs in the country going neck to neck for the title.

With six matches to go the only thing that separates the top two sides Kotoko and Hearts is just goal difference.

Over the weekend two fierce teams in the capital Hearts and Great Olympics clashed on Sunday night in a game that had a lot of moments as the two teams played out a 1-1 drawn game.

Arhinful speaking after the game says the GFA should consider playing big matches in the evening as it enhances the spectacle.

“It was a good game for both teams and this is what Ghana football should be,” he said on Adepa TV on StarTimes.

“Moving forward, I think the Ghana Football Association [GFA] must consider playing the big matches in the evening.

“You look at the numbers at the stadium and the excitement, it is impressive and by doing that, it will help build more excitement and do good for Ghana football,” he added.

The next round of matches will commence this weekend in match day 29.
